Carta was founded in 2023 by Marina Shumylo — a senior Ecommerce operator who has spent the last decade building, migrating, and growing Shopify brands inside agencies and in-house.

Carta exists to do that work differently: a small studio of senior partners taking on a limited number of engagements per year. No junior handoffs, no layered teams, no decks that don't ship.
